Fees
Tournament fees for U9, U10, U11 and U12 is $400. Fees for U13, U14, U15, U16 are $425 & U17, U18 are $450.00.
Application deadline/ discounts – Individual teams that register before December 31 may take a 10 percent discount. Clubs that enter 10 or more teams are eligible for the club discount – please inquire of the tournament director.
Qualifications
Applications from duly registered US Youth Soccer teams will be considered. All players must be registered with their state associations and will be required to show their player passes before every match. Teams playing the 11 v. 11 format may have a maximum of 18 players per roster, which may include up to three guest players. ALL guest players MUST have a guest player form. If your state does not require guest player forms, download and use the one from this website. (See “Forms”)
§ U9 - 6 v 6 Academy format: maximum 12 players on roster; minimum 4 players on field at all times. This will be Academy format with no championship round. All teams will be given participation awards.
§ U10 - 6 v 6 format: maximum 12 players on roster; minimum 4 players on field at all times.
§ U11 - 8 v 8 format: maximum of 16 players on roster; minimum 6 players on field at all times.
§ U12 - 8 v 8 format: maximum of 16 players on roster; minimum 6 players on field at all times.
§ U13, U14, U15, U16, U17, U18 – 11 v 11 format; maximum of 18 players on roster; minimum of 7 players on field at all times
Referees
Derby Cup 2009 draws the best referees the region has to offer. Assessors will be on site all weekend to facilitate professional advancement for qualified referees. Our pay scale is above average so we expect above-average dedication and attitude. Those interested in refereeing this tournament should contact Tony Crush, Assignor, at derbycupreferee@hotmail.com.
Team selection
Team acceptance to the Derby Cup 2009 soccer tournament will be completed by the Selection Committee at least one week prior to the April 16th date of bracket publication. Written and email notifications are sent to all teams. The deposit of your entry fee does not indicate acceptance.
